September 30th, 2003 was a landmark day for the Ontario agricultural community, as it marked the implementation of Bill 81 which standardized nutrient management regulations across the province.

How does Bill 81 affect you? The required date of compliance is based on the size of the operation. New or large operations will need to comply by 2005 while the remainder of farms will have until 2008. Considering expansion? This may also require you to complete your nutrient management plan.
